CaféMéx Gourmet Coffee was started in Oaxaca de Benito Juarez in the state Oaxaca, Mexico. I had moved there after living in Colombia. I lived in Neiva, Huila. It is said that the best coffee in Colombia comes from Huila. In Mexico, Oaxaca is one of the countries best coffee regions, next to Chiapas. CaféMéx marketed coffee from both Chiapas and Oaxaca. In 2024 I traveled from Mexico to South America, essentially Brasil and Colombia. In Brasil, I had heard about Espirito Santo, a very special coffee region. I went there to see what was so special about their coffee. The microclimates in this region, special Arabica coffee, rich soil, eco-friendly growing methods and distinct flavors make coffee from Espirito Santo a unique coffee experience. "Give this joe a swig". 

CaféMéx Gourmet Coffee CA is essentially a philanthropic business project licensed with Canada Revenue Agency and the Government of Ontario, Canada. The motive is not financial in nature. Instead it is to share the experience of tasting and enjoying coffee from Latin America. But, not just commercially distributed coffee. We sell coffee from small farms. They are family run, and fine details are the governing principles. Quality and taste are the primary concerns. This is what we offer from all the coffee we market whether from Brasil, Colombia or Mexico. 

CaféMéx Gourmet Coffee is focused on Brasilian coffee at present. However, we work with coffee farmers in Colombia and Mexico also. Depending on preference and quantity, accommodations can be made for orders from any of these Latin American countries and regions. 

After retiring from Toronto District School Board in 2018 as a teacher and guidance counselor for 35 years, I started to look for a retirement country and a retirement activity. I tried Jamaica, Cuba, Colombia and Mexico. Introduced to great coffee in Colombia and then to another great coffee in Southern Mexico, I began to reflect on how much coffee teachers drink. Somehow the desire for a retirement activity, love of coffee, memories of voluminous coffee drinking at TDSB and the availability of great coffee and unique production methods all came together. In 2022 CaféMéx Gourmet Coffee was started as an online coffee business in Oaxaca de Benito Juarez, Oaxaca, Mexico. We have 4 multilingual websites and 2 blogs. Our marketing and distribution focus are in Canada and Sweden. 

CaféMéx is a small online coffee business. Our goal is really only to share unique coffee experiences with anyone who really appreciates the tastes of fine coffee.
